Milwaukee and parts of Wisconsin face extreme cold with two bouts of lake-effect snow expected, one on Friday and another on Saturday. Wind chills may drop to the negative teens, with uncertainties about snowfall amounts and locations.

A band of lake-effect snow Jan. 30 will primarily impact Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties, according to the National Weather Service.

A cold weather advisory is in effect as Arctic air brings wind chills to 29 below zero across Wisconsin, with light snow and more cold ahead.
