Troy Aikman saw the backlash to some of his criticisms of Caleb Williams on Monday Night Football, but he has no regrets. Aikman was widely accused of an anti-Caleb Williams bias during the Chicago Bears 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders last week on Monday Night Football.

While Troy Aikman is one of the best pro football color commentators around, it was hard to ignore how he seemed all too eager to overanalyze the Chicago Bears on Monday night. Aikman's nitpicking of a solid Caleb Williams, in particular, even drew the attention of a famously surly Chicago hot dog stand.
Last week ESPN NFL announcer Troy Aikman caught fire for seemingly showing bias against Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. But now that the dust has settled and people have moved on, Aikman is looking back on how some of the things he said were critiqued.
If anyone thinks Aikman ripped Bears quarterback Caleb Williams during that game, they are clueless and soft. We are now at the point where if the analyst doesn’t bend over backward to praise every player, they are a hater.
On that fateful day in 1992, Aikman led the Cowboys to a thrilling 31-27 victory at Mile High Stadium. His performance was nothing short of spectacular, completing 25 out of 35 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns.
