A preliminary magnitude 3.0 earthquake was recorded north of Borrego Springs Wednesday night, according to USGS.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck the east coast of Russia's Kamchatka, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said on Monday. The quake struck at a shallow depth of 28 km, GFZ further said.
