PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – News Tuesday that Tiger Woods had less invasive surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg rattled the golf world, with fans and players lamenting what will likely be another lost season for the 15-time major champion.

"It sucks. He doesn't have much luck when it comes to injuries and his body," Rory McIlroy said when asked about Tiger Woods rupturing his Achilles.

Woods and McIlroy have become close off the course, but after Tiger's injury, it's unlikely they play together again until 2026
