Metro Atlanta is preparing for a potential ice storm expected this weekend, with schools, airlines and entertainment attractions announcing revisions and cancellations to their schedules.

Several school districts and government services have announced their plans for Tuesday as Georgians recover from an ice storm that impacted parts of the state over the weekend.

Some districts announced closures while others are moving to remote learning or starting late on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026.

Districts have not canceled class, but many have canceled events over the weekend.
