The Barrelman logo was the first identity used by the Brewers. It was first used by the original American Association Brewers in the 1940s.

The team—then roughly 15 years old, having gone through a multitude of reshufflings and renamings—was scouting a player named Lou Bierbauer who had played for the Philadelphia Athletics.

The club adopted their current logo in 1968, and haven't looked back since.The average logo change per team is just over 11. The Braves lead the way, changing their logo an astounding 30 (!) times.

On Wednesday, I ranked the best team names in all of baseball. I will now rank all 30 teams' primary logos for the 2023 season.

Nearly every MLB team has tinkered with its logo dozens of times. Except the Kansas City Royals. Unlike every other team on this list, KC has only changed its primary logo once—once!—in 45 years.
