Kansas City's first professional women's softball team officially announced its launch Tuesday morning at Legend's Field in Kansas City, Kansas.

Kansas City has established itself, yet again, as a mecca for women's sports after announcing on Tuesday that 2026 will bring the metro its first-ever professional softball team.

Kansas City gained another professional sports team in the KC Diamonds, as the team will compete as a founding member in the newly formed Professional Softball League (PSL).
