Rail passengers in New Delhi, India, caused a stampede that killed at least 15 Saturday night while trying to board a train heading to the world's largest religious gathering.

As the news of death of at least 15 people due to a stampede at the New Delhi Railway station reached the mobile and telephone screens of the people, kins of pilgrims boarding trains to Prayagraj poured in numbers in front of the various hospitals of the Capital.

A surge of passengers heading to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj resulted in a stampede-like situation at New Delhi Railway Station, leaving 15 injured and raising concerns about crowd management.
