The Minnesota Vikings and edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel have reached an agreement on a one-year, $23 million contract extension coming off his first Pro Bowl selection and a career-high 11 1/2 sacks last season.

A sourced confirmed to the Pioneer Press on Tuesday afternoon that Van Ginkel has agreed to a the 1-year, $23 million contract extension, which will include $22.4 million guaranteed. It’s a well deserved raise for Van Ginkel, who originally signed a 2-year, $20 million contract.

The Vikings locked up Pro Bowl EDGE defender Andrew Van Ginkel through the 2026 season with an extension on Tuesday.
