More than 100 flood warnings remained in place across the UK on Monday after Storm Ashley made its presence felt. A yellow weather alert for wind, issued by the Met Office, was in place until 9am on Monday morning across the north and east of Scotland and northeast.

Storm Ashley has caused travel disruption and flooding across the UK as high winds and rain battered parts of the country. Dozens of flights have been cancelled at Belfast City Airport and Dublin Airport due to 80mph winds, while several flights to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen have also been called off.
