Two new tropical storms were named Saturday and one quickly developed into a hurricane as the deadly 2024 storm season continued to churn across the Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.

Oscar probably won’t be around long. After making a run westward at Cuba, it will begin turning north into Monday and weakening into Tuesday.

Oscar is expected to weaken into a tropical storm once it makes another landfall, but is still expected to produce strong winds and torrential rain.
