Surveillance footage showed the left engine of the UPS cargo plane that crashed on Tuesday in Kentucky, detached from the wing, an official said.

NTSB begins its first full day of investigation into fatal UPS crash
Thursday marks the first full day of the National Transportation Safety Board’s investigation into the deadly crash at Muhammad Ali International Airport.
At least nine people were killed and 11 others were injured after a UPS plane crashed in Louisville, Kentucky. NTSB officials said that CCTV footage captured the left engine detaching from the wing of the plane during takeoff.
The crash near the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport marked the deadliest accident in UPS Airlines history.
