NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed sorrow following the deadly shooting at a New York City office building that left four people dead and another wounded, calling it a “senseless” act.

Goodell said in a memo to staff that a league employee was seriously injured in the attack and was hospitalized in stable condition.
