Pakistan’s army spokesman, Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif, said an Indian drone attacked a military target near Lahore overnight, wounding four soldiers, while the country’s air defense system intercepted and shot down 12 Indian drones that entered Pakistani airspace at various locations.

THE nation said it shot down 25 drones from India in its airspace while India said it "neutralised" Pakistan's attempts to strike military targets with drones and missiles, as fighting spread between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

Amid fears of further escalation, Pakistan said it shot down 16 drones Thursday, while India said it targeted an air defense system in Lahore.
