( MENAFN - Live Mint) A Hyderabad court on Tuesday recorded actor Nagarjuna's statement in the criminal defamation complaint filed by him against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha over her alleged comments about the divorce of his son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Tollywood superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna has initiated a defamation lawsuit against former minister Konda Surekha, alleging that she made derogatory remarks about his family.

Nagarjuna was accompanied by his wife Amala and son Naga Chaitanya to the court in Nampally. The complaint was filed under Section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), accusing Surekha of making false and damaging statements about the family.
