Following Tata Motors' $4.4 billion acquisition of Iveco, management reassured investors about potential growth and earnings boosts, emphasizing the need for such moves in a stable commercial vehicle market.

The company announced the 100% of Turin-based truck, bus and powertrain manufacturer Iveco Group on Wednesday.

Tata Motors plans to raise about 1 billion euros ($1.14 billion) of equity to repay the loan funding its $4.5 billion offer to buy Iveco's trucks and bus business, the Indian automaker's chief financial officer said on Thursday.
