The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an urgent recall for tomatoes distributed across 14 states due to the potential risk of Salmonella contamination. Consumers in affected states are advised to check their produce and take necessary precautions to prevent illness.

Tomatoes sold in 14 states have been recalled over concerns of possible contamination with the bacteria salmonella. Two different companies have issued recalls after distributing the potentially contaminated tomatoes, which they obtained from the same supplier, Hanshaw & Capling Farms, or H&C Farms, in Immokalee, Florida.

The FDA has recalled tomatoes in 14 states over concerns of possible contamination with the bacteria salmonella. No illnesses have been reported, but the FDA recommends customers throw out the produce immediately.
