Legendary Red Sox slugger David Ortiz said players' egos sometimes play a big role in trades like the one Rafael Devers was involved in.

On Monday, Ortiz spoke to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, who also works Big Papi at Fox Sports. Ortiz told Rosenthal that is was “never going to end” well between Devers and the Red Sox.
