Reports of outages surge at X and other apps as Cloudflare says it's having widespread problems
Web services company Cloudflare said it is aware of problems impacting "multiple customers" amid reports of outages at apps including X.
Infrastructure company Cloudflare has been hit with what it calls "widespread 500 errors, [with] Dashboard and API also failing."
Cloudflare is "aware of, and investigating" a server issue that's causing problems for popular websites and social platforms.
Web infrastructure company Cloudflare said it is experiencing problems across its network on Tuesday, curtailing access to some popular websites. "Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers," the company said online at around 7 a.m. ET.
Several major internet services appeared to have been affected by the Cloudflare issue, including X and Amazon Web Services, according to DownDetector.com, a website that tracks service outages based off user reports. Cloudflare said that it is focused on restoring service and that it would provide updates throughout the process.
The outage, which brought down services such as X, ChatGPT, Canva, Discord and other websites and applications, was traced to a permissions update on a ClickHouse database cluster
