A Delta Airlines Boeing 767 aircraft en route to New York made an emergency stop at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) in Senegal on Saturday following a technical issue, according to a statement from Senegal's Ministry of Transport.

"The plane, in its take-off phase, carried out an acceleration manouevre followed by an emergency stop because of a technical incident," said the Senegal's air transport ministry statement.
