GRAP 3 Restrictions Revoked But Delhi-NCR AQI Remains Poor
Centre has revoked the restrictions under GRAP III. As per reports, the Commission for Air Quality Management has withdrawn GRAP III in Delhi-NCR as AQI levels improved. However, protocols under GRAP 1 and GRAP II remain active across the national capital region.
GRAP III revoked following marginal improvement in AQI
Delhi can now breathe a sigh of relief as the pollution levels have eased and GRAPIII has been revoked from immediate effect. The restrictions on BS 3 petrol and BS 4 diesel cars were officially lifted on Sunday night.
GRAP 3 curbs revoked in Delhi-NCR amid dip in AQI
The city's 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) stood at 339 at 4 pm on Sunday. According to forecasts from the India Meteorological Department and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, the air quality is predicted to improve further -- from "severe" to "poor" -- due to favourable meteorological conditions.
