Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof on Monday slammed attacks against Israeli fans after a football match in Amsterdam, calling it "unadulterated anti-Semitic violence".

Amsterdam banned demonstrations for three days from Friday after overnight attacks on Israeli soccer supporters by what the mayor called "antisemitic hit-and-run squads", and Israel sent planes to the Netherlands to fly fans home.

At least five people have been hospitalized and 62 others were detained after a night of violence targeting Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam on Thursday, authorities said. The Israeli National Security Headquarters told Israeli citizens staying in Amsterdam to "avoid movements in the street and shut oneself in hotel rooms.
