Stayed at the North Rim back in May of 2003 and the snow and winter was so bad that most roads were not open because of falling trees. The only road open was to the main lodge. We are planning to be in Page, Az. and was wondering if we could travel to the north rim and visit a couple of these missed sites such as point imperial point and angel's point in one day and travel back to Page? Absolutely yes. Have done it often. Use 89 one way and 89a the other. Should allow you 3 hrs of time on the rim. Might snack at lodge at Bright Angel, get view and food to save time.
